Floor sawing is a practical and cost-effective method for cutting flat horizontal concrete and asphalt surfaces. Typical applications include trenching, floor chasing, road and runway repairs, crack inducement cuts, large openings in floor slabs, and expansion joints. Our well-maintained selection of floor saws can handle a variety of site requirements. Floor saws are either operator-pushed or, more commonly, self-propelled units powered by diesel, petrol engines, or 3-phase electric motors. These saws vary in power from 13 HP to over 80 HP.
The floor saw offers several advantages over other sawing methods, such as the track saw. It requires no setup time, contains its own power unit, and provides rapid cutting capabilities. We utilise diamond blades up to 1500mm in diameter, enabling cuts over 600mm deep.
